I have bought several masonite base boards. Before I put fondant or RI on them, I would like to preserve them so they can be cleaned easily. Has anyone painted a base with a washable coating? What is food safe and has worked well for you?

Thanks a million!

Yes - there are food grade paints and lacquers. Just ask at almost any paint store. You can also buy masonite-type board in various thicknesses with one or both sides coated with food-grade paint or laminate thumbs_up.gif
