I am trying to make Debbie Brown's noah's ark cake. I followed the recipe in the book for the chocolate flavored cake - and it doesn't taste very interesting.

Can I just use a box mix?

I know that book says to use their recipe since it's good for tiers covered with fondant. So I would guess that I should add some straws or something for support?

THANKS for any help - I am really desperate!!

ME TOO! IF you want an "interesting" flavor use flavored coffee creamer for 1/2 the water in the mix. It's YUM-MO as Rachel Ray would say.

Good Luck and Post a Pic!

Thanks!

I thought that maybe it might not be "firm" enough to support the tiers - especially if they are covered with fondant. I'll add some straws and hopefully that will be enough to keep it from sagging!

I'll let you know how it turns out!
