Hello! I am kinda new to all this, so am not sure what to do here... I love to make my son a different 3D cake of some sort to go along with his theme for his birthday every year. He has asked me to do littlest pet shop this year?! SOOOO... i know that i could make a flat cake and put the little animals on there, but anyone have any ideas on a 3d cake of some sort??? PLEASE and thank you for all your help! (i am of course waiting til the last minute so only have a few weeks left!) Thanx again..... icon_smile.gif jennifer icon_smile.gif

Hi Jennifer, welcome to the forums!

Ok I am a big pusher of royal icing transfers, I think they are so cool and underused since you can do so much with them. I'm just getting ready to do my first 3-d so no advice there, but with RIT's and your cake I'm imagining stacked layers, maybe square to resemble the littlest pet shop play sets and then you can do all of the "scene" stuff in royal transfers.

They are easy, you just need to plan ahead so you have drying time. I'm attaching some links to some pictures that used them so you see what I mean. If you want some detailed instructions just let me know and I'll type it up! Good luck and make sure to post your cake, whatever you choose to do! (sorry I don't have any of my own pictures I'm not at home) Andrea
