I always use it on the base tier of wedding cakes, some baby and bridal shower cakes and occassionally on birthday cakes (depending on the theme and recipient). It just makes the cakes look more elegant and finished. icon_rolleyes.gif Maybe i'm just an old soul, but I like it and I've never had a complaint.

I used some this week-end for a baby 1st b-day "smash" cake. Made it look a little larger & more special. Since it was a little girl I thought it would make it more "frilly" along with the pink. Just a 1 layer 6". It's not old school anymore--call it "retro" or "vintage" and charge more! icon_smile.gif
