I have made some diamond ring cookies and I am trying to figure out the best way to make the silver "ring" part in terms of decorating. Does anyone have suggestions?

Can I colour white icing silver? If so, how do I do that?
OR - Do I just use silver luster dust? How does luster dust work?

Suggestions?

I just painted mine with silver dust and vodka...because I wanted more of the shine like a real ring.
