I made two beautiful Cakes for a Friend of mine . And I was wondering in total honesty How much they would go for . Im not to good with pricing yet . I gave these to her for 80.00$ . Did I get ripped off? The Cakes are in my photos . One is Rolie Polie Olie and the other is Billy Bevel .

Cant seem to figure out how to attach photos to the forum yet . Sorry about that.

Just curious , Trying to make pricing cakes alot easier on myself if I get feedback from yous.

Thanks
Julie

After you subtract the cost of ingredients (including gas if you delivered them), was what you made worth the amount of hours you put into it?

That's the best way to tell. If you were a business, you'd also need to factor in overhead.

Without knowing the size of the cakes and how many people they served (I'm guessing approx 20-25 servings each), I would say $80-$90 for the two is accurate. I would have probably charged $45 each.

I would think that is about right. Very cute.
