Anyone have any ideas on how to make a wine glass/goblet out of a fondant/gumpast mix?
I was going to try molding the cup portion from a wine glass but am unsure .....Help

go a miniwonder mold? or a mini-half ball mold?

if so.

flip over.

lightly grease

shape fondant onto bottom of mold and then let harden in place.

that gives you the "bowl" part.

upright is dowel attached to cakeboard (glue and push pin). cover in fondant and detail out if looking for fancy stem

glue bowl to stem

Using a large plastic egg works too for the bowl section. A small funnel used as a mold for the section that connects the dowel or straw to the bottom of the glass works well too. Just grease the end that has the shape you want (one end looks more like a chaimpange flute the othe a wine glass) press on and cut off about 1/2 to 3/4 down the side.

I just did this 2 days ago and searched everywhere for a mold. I did sort of as Doug suggested. I just dusted the inside of the mini wondermold with cornstarch and cut the paste in a 4" circle. The outside would work too, it was just too big for the size cup I needed.

It's a little tricky smoothing the paste into the bowl shape and getting all the wrinkles out, but it worked fine.
