So it is official, I am moving to Seattle. Now all I need is a new name! I would love your opinions. So far the ones I like are:
So Much Cake
Emerald Cake Co.
Emerald City Cakes
Trying to avoid something that is too regional (don't want to have to change the name again
) Any other suggestions would be great!
Thanks!

Congrats on the move and not letting your business die because of it.
Your very talented and will do well there.
I like Emerald City cakes or Emerald Cake Co. Also, make sure to check that any names you like are not already taken.
Or you could just keep your current name and really make them wonder ![]()
Welcome to seattle i also live in the area around seattle.
do you happen to know what area you are going to be at with your business?
Thanks so much for your opinions! I like the emerald names too (and my DH was smart, and bought the domains! ha ha... go IT hubby!) My mom's only concern was that "emerald" might sound like "emril"... but i don't think it will be a problem. Thanks again, and I can't wait to meet the Seattle ccers!
I vote Emerald City Cakes! What a cool name...I don't think there will be any confusion between Emerald and Emril. Besides, I just took a look at your current website, and I am pretty sure Emril couldn't BAM his way into creating more beautiful cakes than you! Your work is exquisite!
I like Emerald Cake Co. instead of Emerald City Cakes, in my opinion is too similar to Jet City Cakes (the "something" city cakes part) which is the "Ninja" form Charm City Cakes who is also based in WA.
BUT like you mentioned before, I would NOT name it something regional, just in case you move again. I would try to find a different name, something very YOU that you can keep for life.
My DH is in the military and we move a often, I also had a hard time finding a name that I could take with me wherever we go.
Just my 2 cents, hope this helps some.
Congrats! I think you're "off to see the wizard"..........love the name Emerald City Cakes.
I think Emerald City Cakes sounds great!! Are you going to use anything from the Wizard of Oz in your business? I think that would be very original. Good luck on your move!
