I am using an edible image for the first time.. I have directions on how to use it and apply it my only question is how long will it hold.. Today is Friday, could I do the cake today if I need it for sunday ???

I know it shouldn't go in the fridge so in a box on the counterI guess I would be storing it!!

PLEASE HELP!!

Is it a photo edible image, or one that you bought from a cake store? I have found that the longer you wait to put the photo ones on cakes the better, but the ones i have bought from stores, I have put on up to two days beforehand, maybe just the ink is so much more intricate on a photo image. If you are putting it on a crusting BC, and your icing has crusted, just VERY lightly spray some water on the top of the cake before applying the image, otherwise it may not adhere to the cake- just make sure it's not wet when the image goes on, or some colors may run. I don't think that refrigeration will harm the image, but I have never refrigerated one, so I am not 100% sure. HTH
