I'm sorry to ask another carved cake ? I see on here where the WASC is the best cake to carve. I would like to make a homemade german chocolate cake with the caramel filling and try to shape it into a 442 Oldsmobile. Would this be a good cake to attempt or is the WASC, chocolate flavor, the safest? Thank you for any help icon_biggrin.gif

Hmm, actually a dense cake is the best cake to cake. That being said, I always try to use a pound cake if I can. However, I have used WASC and other such sponge cakes.
