You could go into the gallery and search for "music". I would make a white sheet cake and draw a music staff on it, and then put in the notes of his favorite song and see if he gets it! Or, if there is a certain style of music he loves (Jazz, County, Classical, etc.) you would theme the cake that way.

You don't say what size they are going to be. If full sheets, cut down the decorating space by making a border inside the edges - like 2" in from the edge; just a frame of shells is needed. Now your decorating space is about the size of a 1/2 sheet. In the area between the frame & the edge put some sprinkles.
I like making music lines w/notes. Can be straight or curve across the cake.
Use a big '75' in the center of the cake; then use big bubble printing of his name & HB. Maybe just some notes sprinkled all around. If you do the 'frame' thing above, put the notes in the area between the frame & the edge of the cake.
Just did a fast search of the music gallery and found these ideas for you:
pg. 1 - 5th rown down
pg 2 - 3 row
pg 3 - 2nd row
pg 4 - 3rd row
pg 5 - 1st & 3rd row
pg 6 - 5th row
