Ok, so I need to bake a cake in one of my glass pyrex bowls today, to get the shape I need for a cake ... I have done this in the past, only once, and did not use a flower nail. I think this time I want to, to make it bake better, but I just want to know if anyone else has ever done this, or is it a no no to put a metal nail in a glass bowl in a hot oven????? Thanks for ANY help!!

That's exactly what I did last week. It does take a bit longer to bake in the pyrex bowl though. But the flower nail didn't hurt anything.

Good luck.
