This may be a silly question, but, I can't figure out how to do a black cake board for an over-the-hill cake. I can't even find black wrapping paper??!

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

I get black wrapping paper at Party City. I don't suppose you have that store near you? You could cover the board in black fondant or black royal icing.

Thanks for the ideas...if I find black wrapping paper do I need to cover it with clear tack paper?

I've used black foam board purchased at Michael's and then covered in contact paper.

Yes, you'll need to cover wrapping paper with clear contact paper. Black foamboard is a good idea, too, cinjam.
