Hi,
I am making my Mum a small Italian cheesecake for her birthday and wondered if I could decorate it to make it look like a basket or something? You guys have inspired me to jazz it up a bit and I wasn't sure what combination of icings or coverings I could use.
Anybody do this before or make a cheesecake look like something fancier than your typical cheesecake? I have brain freeze....

I am going to check out the gallery too if I can figure out how to search.

Thanks so much, you are all wonderful! icon_smile.gif

JoanneB,
How Beautiful! I am waiting for the cheesecake to get done baking now, hopefully I will have a plan soon.

Great cake, you would never know it was a cheesecake. icon_smile.gif

My gallery too, did a white chocolate wrap over it, but you could use fondant. It's the golden tree.

Others have done lots of decorating on them, you should get more responses tomorrow. A chocolate wrap (directions by Shirley) with chocolate curls, sugared raspberries, etc, would be nice.
