Yay me! My mom's friend called and wanted a cake... for tomorrow. Now the kids are at home on Spring Break, and we aren't doing much (other than 2 cakes for the weekend, but I wouldn't start baking until Thursday anyway), So I start the discussion about how many and what flavors and decorations... She actually thought that I could make a 3-D horse to serve 10 people, to start with, then when I said 2-D carved out head only for that number of people, and I'd be charging $3.00 per person, she okay'd at $30. I looked at the pans and number of servinggs from the pans, and realize, short-changed myself BIG TIME!!! I took a few minutes, a few deep breaths, and bi the bullet. I called her back and said that she could have the carved 2_D head for $50, or just a relief of a horse head on a 6X6 for $30. I am so glad that I called back, because I really don't want to be under selling myself!!! But, I"m proud of myslef for standing up and not taking it in the pocketbook!
