I need to make a fondant bow and it neds to be a deep burgundy but I'm having trouble getting that color. It looks more pinky purple. I'm using 1 pound of fondant and have already used 1/2 a bottle of color (wilton). Can someone please help me? I need this done by saturday.

The only way that I have been able to get really deep colors is to make my own fondant or MMF, and add the color while it is still in the liquid stage.

You can try to darken the color with a bit of black or dark blue, but Be Careful. It can go dark in a hurry and then you will be adding more white to lighten it. Other than that, go buy some already colored. My best luck has been making my own...

Good Luck! icon_smile.gif
