I love this site!! I stumbled upon it by accident and i read the waring "this site is addictive" and I thought oh yeah sure it is, but i am soooo addicted it's not funny - my husband hates it!! So do my kids! My hubby says this site is like my drug - I have to come on here at least twice a day!
It is just a bottomless pit full of beautiful pictures, great advice and people who like cake decorating just as much as me!
Welcome!!! oh yea...CC hooks ya quick...and i even get withdrawl symptoms if i dont get my cc fix...lol
most of the time you dont even notice how long you have been on here ...
but its a great place! and everyone is so helpful....

I recently was with out power and internet for 3 days for power and 5 for internet due to an ICE storm. It was the longest 5 days of my life

You are so hearing me!!!!!!lol I have let the dirty laundry pile up so much since finding this site!! It really is so hard to drag myself away! I just want to soak up everyones advice because my kids are still young and I cannot get to any lessons!

Dh and i have both have laptops and mine is always set to this page. Especially since my girl and I have been sick I think I spend quite a lot of time on here! I don't think Ive surfed the web since I found this website.
I like the entry from kaychristensen: "... friends and teachers".
I have even met 2 people from my area from being on CC and learned about a cake club that I would have never known about if I hadn't been cruising the forums.
I enjoy seeing where everyone is from and the different techniques used.

While I'm at work, like now, I have a window open with CC and I refresh often!! On my weeks off, I have to check at least 3x a day from home. This site is so helpful and I've gotten so many ideas from the galleries...amazing cakes and sugarwork. I was so happy I finally made Junior Member status yesterday that I IM'd my DH and told him. He said, "Good for you!" After my email, this is the first thing I log onto and the last thing I check before bed.

OK, where is AA for Cake Central? We all need to join because we're all addicts. Election of Officers will be the first order of business then we'll all log on to CC before proceeding any further. Oh what the heck, it's useless, there is no hope for CC addicts.........
Could someone please explain the different levels to me? The Newbies, Jr. Members etc.? I have been a member since Sept. but I was mostly just looking and reading. I don't feel quite experienced enough to offer very much advise but I'm trying. TIA

Has anyone noticed that the post dates and times are not correct? Or is it just me?
There is only one thing I am very sad about with CC. I, for some reason, can not get my avitar to change. Everything I have tried to put there is too big even though I shrink it until you can hardly see it. Don't get me wrong, I like my cute little smiley flower girl, but it is time for a change.

Just keep making them smaller. But make sure you have really cropped your pic tight since you really don't want much of any background in a tiny pic like an avatar. Good Luck!!!
My house is so neglected since I started here. I'm a homemaker so I must go to CC 12 + times a day. I'm here until 1am most of the time.
My husband use to ask what I'm doing on the computer. Now he knows. I have no life so all he hears is a member had this pic or a member suggested this, you get the pic.
I would love for CC to expand their store to offer more selection. It would be so cool to get all the supplies I need here so I would have to leave this site.
Anyway, welcome you will have lots of fun and learn a lot. I've learned more here than I ever did in classes.
