I bought some satinIce to try just conering how do you keep it from getting so hard

You have to seal it in a bag and make sure all the air is out of it.

Wrap in plastic wrap or Press 'N Seal. Then put in a ziplock bag.

I love the new seal it bags.. But if you dont have them put it in some plastic wrap an leave it in the blue bag and container it came in... There's a reason why they use it!
