This is a practice bear for a cake I'm going to be doing. My only complaint is that he looks a bit heavy in the bottom. I think the gumpaste settled or something. Otherwise I think he came out OK. Any suggestions will be most appreciated. I'd like to try a bunny also.

Also, I think I read somewhere that gumpaste can be dried quickly in a dehydrator. Has anyone else heard this?

I don't know anything about making figures out of gumpaste, but I think your bear looks absolutely adorable. If anything his bow around his neck might be a tad too big for him, but other than that nice job.

The bow was a bit of a bear (no pun intended) He's only about 1 1/2 inches tall so it was tricky to make that. Was hoping for a poofy one. I'll try again. Thanks for your comment!

Maybe if you position the bow more in the front you can make it puffier (sp) and then you don't have to worry too much about the band around his neck. Kind of like a bowtie.

Just a suggestion.
