That sounds like a good name! Before you decide on a final name, do an internet search with the one you pick just to make sure your not stepping on toes. I did and found someone else already using the name I wanted so I just added a little to make mine unique. I started with Dave's Delectables, and a guy in Calif. was using it so I went with Dave's Delectables of Fayetteville.

Check with your state business department. Do an on-line search for small business in your state and something should come up. Usually they have searchable databases for it. Also check into domain names. Go to go daddy and put in sugarfairycakery and see if it's available and if it is.. take it NOW.. I waited and someone took mine.. 
Okay, after reading this I decided I really should get my domain before it's taken. Of course the most likely ones: SugarPlumFairy.com, SugarPlumCakes.com, etc. were all taken (even checked the .org, .net, etcetera) but I was able to get one that I had thought of a while ago: Visionsbysugarplumfairy.com.
I'm so happy. Soon I'll go to the tutorials and figure out how to design a web page and set my page up for my hobby which one day I hope will eventually become a business (if I find a kitchen to rent, or do what DH wants to do and convert our apartment -connected to our house - to a professional kitchen).
