I tried a recipe and did not like the greasy taste. It really had no taste at all.

What do you use to fill your cupcakes? Care to share the recipe?

I really like the ding dong filling. Quick, easy and oh so good by the spoonful.

hmm, i don't know. i'm always partial to fresh, tart fruit to counter balance the sweetness of the frosting.

It depends on the cupcake.. icon_lol.gif

Chocolate I like a nice rich chocolate mousse, peppermint buttercream is good in chocolate too.. as is peanut butter. Vanilla can go SO many ways.. Lemon curd.. pastry cream.. flavored buttercreams.. it's endless really. Carrot cake cupcakes are to die for with cheesecake in the center.. you can bake them filled.. just pipe it in before baking.. mmm.

I tried a "ding dong" kind of filling but that tasted more like whipped crisco and just as tastey (yuck!).

So you can use reg buttercream flavored? Cool.
