Ahhh. sounds like we all need to catch spring fever to get us going!

Merissa, puleeeeze give me your exercise habits and I'll pass my staying-in-my-calorie-range-18-days-out-of-20 habits on to you! Do you think you're eating more because you're hungry from exercising more? Maybe you need more calories...

Carol, you'll have to let me know about the carrot cake cookies because the pumpkin ones are really good. My favorite part about them is that they bake up and stay soft, even days later. Yum!

Tuesday and Pootchie, don't do too much! Take care of yourselves, we need you here...I hope you're both healed and up and about soon.

I am so creaky and achy I can't stand it, I really feel a million years old. This is how desperate I am to feel better...I brought my exercise clothes to workout after work! I figure if I won't go in the mornings, maybe after work will do...we'll see. I can't wait til the gym showers are finished, then I'll be accountable to my exercise buddy again.

Today's my No Cheat Tuesday, everybody get ready for your day tomorrow! Have a great day!

Morning all!

I couldn't get on yesterday afternoon. Not much new with me right now. I'm still plugging along. I haven't been eating before leaving the house but have been having breakfast at work. I've also been drinking my water, and then some. Sometimes I wonder if I am overdoing the water. We brought a small fridge in here for my use, and I am able to bring in things to cook for breakfast and lunch, plus I am now able to have some lowfat chocolate milk here for the morning so that I don't have to stop at the store in the mornings and am not tempted to just pick up a Coke.

Today was the first day without the winter coat. I am worried about the temps going down, but I didn't want to carry a big enough bag for my coat. I carry a big enough bag as it is. I do have another shirt, a sweater, and an additional jacket along with the one I wore to work with me "just in case."

I am feeling like I have shed some more pounds recently, although I haven't stepped on a scale for a while. You know me, I could lose three inches and not one pound to show for it.

Over the weekend, Hubby bought me my next project, a 100 year old plus sofa to refinish. I t has carved wood and upholstery. But the frame is solid, so that is a plus. Hoping I can do it alright. Hope I can afford the material. Some of the stuff I saw is up to $25.00 a yard! icon_eek.gif

Well, I should probably go and get ready for work. I am certainly with you, Carol, I really hate work. There is just so much stuff I could be doing that I enjoy. Why does it take two incomes just to make ends meet? icon_mad.gif

Hello ladies - I have been trying to get on it seems like forever but cc wouldn't load sniff! Looks like I wasn't the only one though so that's good...

I did well today I worked out for about 20/25 minutes. I WILL do so again tomorrow. The dvd that I use is a little over 50 minutes and before the new years I was doing the whole dvd 5x a week and had added weights but I slacked off so bad I just couldn't get thru it today plus being tired. I dunno about ya'll but exercising makes me SO tired at least at first. SO I FINALLY took the first step and I hope that I will keep it up, my 4 yr old daughter even put on her "exercise clothes" and did some of it with me SO cute!

Now that I have to be accountable to ya'll I see that I am actually making more of an effort to get to the workout.

Hi All~
A short post because like everyone else, I'm frustrated with trying to log on and have lost previous posts. I weighed in today and lost 1.5 pounds. Have a great day! (I'm also a bit, well more than a bit, cranky, so I'll come back when I have a happy heart....)

Well done Susan!!! And don't worry about being cranky - we all have those days!

I have also been frustrated with not being able to log on. I actually had a PM from another Australian inviting me to a site she's started, which is very similar to this one, so I'm a member there too. I've had to spend time on that one because I couldn't get onto this one. (If anyone's interested it's www.cakesandmore.org)

Katie, I'm not sure I have too many "positives" to focus on, I've had ups and downs really. I have weeks when I religiously exercise and drink my water, then I get slack with EVERYTHING!! I guess my biggest positive, is I've kept up with my gym workouts, even though I haven't always kept up with my walks.

So I'm with you guys.....I'm gonna go for my walks whether my SIL can come or not! And I'm gonna log all my calories from now on. And I'm gonna drink more water......... Hey guys, LETS DO IT!!!

cool new site! I am going right over to sign up! I too have been extremely frustrated with the site lately...... icon_cool.gif
I have been spending time on
intothe oven.com
They have forums, and casino games and prises and lotteries and you get tips and info from a lot of the same people as on here!
Plus they do % off for postings and give away great deals on their stuff in the store, and I have to say they are quick, very reasonably priced and awesome customer service to boot!

Now it's no cheat wed Ladies....let's romp those fat cells and tell em who's boss.

Congrats to own little italy weight loss lovey susan!!!! GO GIRL! You are denting those pounds like a high school kid with their first car in a snow storm! thumbs_up.gif

So up and at em ladies....drink that water, eat those veggies, walk those miles and lift them weights...we gots work to do....it's spring.....work off those pounds!!!!!!!!!!

I'll check out those websites, thanks!

I couldn't get on all afternoon yesterday, either. I realize it is a free site, but really! How frustrating!

Susan, congrats on the weight loss! Glad to hear it.

Tuesday, Lorris, are you feeling better? I certainly hope so. I don't know how you stay so cheerful while you are in pain. If it were me I would be hiding in bed with the covers over my head feeling sorry for myself.

As for spring, I certainly can't tell. It is in the low 30's here again today and I am cold. I don't think it is ever going to warm up any here.

Well, it's no cheat Wednesday, so of course I am craving a Coke and some chocolate. I will resist, though. I had my breakfast here in the office this morning and I am going to have my vitamins now.

I think that is my positive. I am taking my vitamin supplements every day ane even have Hubby taking vitamin supplements daily. I am also eating a good breakfast here at work when I come in. I don't eat one at home before I leave, but I do take the time to make one here. I can't use the walking thing because I've been doing that for the last three years, since I downsized the car. Still no word on the drivers' strike. I really don't think they want to let you know when. The better to cripple the city and take everybody off guard.

Well, I should probably go get ready to start work. Hope I can get on later today.

I'll go and check those 2 other sites also... I'll keep my same nickname, if I can, so you all will be to know it's me icon_biggrin.gif

So what I said yesterday is that I feel so much better. My appetite is back to normal, I can move around like normal. I just can't lift heavy things for a few days more, but that's ok.

I decided to step on the scale just to see if I was back to my old weight of before the surgery, since all my bloating is gone and I'm not swollen anymore. Well guess what? This morning I was 190 pounds! I've reached my minigoal! So now, my new mini-goal is to reach 185 pounds. No more 19? for me!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I'm going to go for now, I HOPE I can log on later on!

Good morning everyone

Thanks Sonya for the new roster. I was suprised to see that I am not up until June. That works great because I am in town that week!

Great job Susan and Pootchie for your losses.

I am looking forward to this month because I am in town the whole month so I have time to get in gear and get into a great work out routine and eating regimine.

I forgot it was no cheat Wednesday, I had a piece of cold pizza for breakfast, so that was not so good. I so have to figure out what to do for breakfast. I was thinking about making my own frozen breakfast bowls. Make a bunch of scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage. Let them cool, mix them up with a bit of cheese and put in my seal-a-meal bags and in the freezer. Then grab a bag a day. What do you all think?

I will be checking those two sites, I believe I already have the intotheoven site in my favorites. I too will try to keep my same name.

redhare (good grief I cant remember your name, what is it again? I am so sorry, I will write it down this time!!!!) Cheerleader is just giving support, challanges and just the person for the week that kicks our butts when we are a little low. Tuesday did just that yesterday with her post about no more excuses. Some people have one challange for the week, some have a challange every day. I always try to put a new inspirational quote per day and perhaps a new strength move a few times a week. Basically just keeping everyone motivated for the week.

OK gotta run

Can I join the club?! icon_smile.gif I am currently trying to get back into shape! After my second son, the weight just stayed on! I have about 15 pounds I'd like to lose--I am 130 lbs right now, and i'd like to be 115 lbs. But I'm not so much concerned with poundage as I am with inches! I joined a gym about three weeks ago but it ended up being a curves-type place, and I needed something more intense. So yesterday I joined a full-service gym and had my first real workout! I did 3 miles on the elliptical (I found out I can do a mile in 10 minutes....maybe I'll get faster once I've done it a few more times!) and i have my first personal training session on Thursday! I can't wait to get back in shape! I'm hoping to have my body back by this time next year!

Carrie, allow me to be the first to welcome you to our group. It is a great group and we get a lot of support from each other.

Hey, everyone! I got in this afternoon! I'm just taking a break from today. It has been murder, or would have been if my favorite PO was in the office around me. I just want to ask him what his problem is with the Englis language.

So far no cheat Wednesday is going well for me, though. So I hope I don't allow myself to get too stressed out about this.

Talk to you all later, I hope!

Welcome to the Losers Club, Carrie!!

I was feeling really bloated this morning, so I didn't weigh myself. I know it wouldn't have been accurate anyway.

I didn't have time for my walk today, and I'm NOT making excuses, really!!! I got the kids off to school, quickly did the dishes etc and raced out the door because today I had to organise delivery of the pies for the pie drive I did. I picked the pies up at 9.30am, then spent ALL day sorting, bagging, labelling, and delivering pies. I arrived home about 5, made dinner, ate, then left to do a few more deliveries, and now I'm feeling stuffed!!!! I think I had a pretty good workout with all the running around I did, anyway.

Well, as this weeks cheerleader, I am not going to give you any instructions icon_eek.gificon_eek.gificon_eek.gif This week, I want you to do your own thing. You each know what dieting/exercising tips work for you, and that's what I want you to work on. The only thing I require of you, is that next Thursday, each of us is to post a picture of ourselves. It has to be taken THIS WEEK. And it has to show at least from the waist up. I know that will get ME motivated, and I hope it will be incentive for you, too.

So, girls, lets drink that water, move that body, and get into full swing for a week of intense weight loss. I WILL lose 2 lbs by next Thursday. How about you???????

Hi Eveyone~
Welcome Carrie, glad to have you.

I have a "calorie tooth" today! It's not really a sweet tooth, it's an I-want-to-eat-high-calorie-stuff-today feeling. But I'm sitting at my desk eating a combination of blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries with peach yogurt, so hopefully that will cure the feeling.

I have a request, I think most of us have done it already. If your "real" first name is either not a part of your screen name or you don't have your signature automatically load at the bottom of every post, could you please do that? We're getting new people, which is great, I just have trouble keeping everyone's name straight! If you go into "my account" you can change it. Thanks!

Good morning,

Sonia, you drive a hard bargain. I haven't taken a decent picture for years.

Well, I don't have much time this morning. I should be able to get on later, though. I am having a day of training today, which means no going into the office and answering the phones while correcting others' work. I use it as a regrouping day.

I was up another two pounds today. I can't figure it out. There has to be some way I can get my weight down. I still can't figure it out.

Well, have to go now. I need to get ready to get the bus this morning. I'm not sure if my walking will be more or less today. We'll see.

Have a great day, everybody!

Hi carrie and welcome!

Well I am still the same. no change on weight at all. icon_rolleyes.gif
But to be honest I expected it or worse...my hubby's business has suffered some loses and now he has a customer who owes us a lot of money and keeps doing the old "check in the mail" crap. icon_mad.gif
we had to borrow money from our family member and now that's another bill.
Our oldest turns 15 on the 9th of april and my grandmother turns 80 on the 8th. So I have 2 large and elaborate cakes to do and I have no baking spirit... icon_eek.gif

So somebody pray for me...I am trying to just keep busy so I can stop grazing......bison couldn't have eaten any more than I have recently.

But I will go on and loose this......I have come way to far to stop or backslide now. So join me and let's whomp some fat cell booty and show those inches who's boss!!!!!!!!! thumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gifthumbs_up.gif

Welcome to the cake club Carrie and Connie, you are going to love it here.

Tuesday, sorry to hear about your business problems but keep your chin up (and your pantry door closed), things will get better.

Did anyone watch the world news last night with Katie Couric? They had a report on drinking 8 glasses of water a day. Here is the link. The report is called âBusting the 8-Glasses-A-Day Mythâ.

gosh I missed so much!

I forgot to weigh in this morning. I have a feeling it isnt good. I just have been really struggling lately. I want to get in the groove again. I am still hitting the gym, so that keeps me from plunging into the ditch! I still have a couple of months before I need to wear summer clothes. I keep hoping i will lose some weight before then so i can get some new outfits! I need to stop HOPING and just do it. HOPING doesnt burn a lot of calories.
