ahhh well thank you I appreciate that so much!

I have to warn you though Sonia at least w/ my kids once I start the dancing w/ music getting them to stop is a WHOLE other ballgame I am WIPED out by the time I finally have to just call it quits! But my kids LOVE it and the laughter and smiles that come out of thier bodies is worth every moment of it! Plus I my body benefits from it too....

Well, last night I made those bakerella cupcake sucker thingies. Someone had posted the link on here they turned out pretty cute not perfect but for the first try not too bad. They are VERY time consuming but so cute. It's for my cousin's bday party that is on Sunday so I get to work on her real cake tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow evening is also my churches trunk or treat where cars make a circle in the parking lot open up there trunks and decorate to thier liking and pass out candy to the kiddos. It's a nice SAFE way to rec'd candy since I don't really let my kids go trick or treating they only go to families homes (and plus it's one more wear out of those not so cheap costumes)

Anyway, Those are my fun plans for the weekend

Sonia, I'm not sure what porridge is exactly, but steel cut oatmeal is oats with the hull still on, which adds a lot more fiber. Most American commercial oatmeal is processed and sold without the hull, so steel cut is healthier. I just add a little no calorie sweetner and it's pretty good.

Hi everyone
Things have been crazy with my class lately. We had a group paper to do due today and my group stinks. We have had this project since Tuesday and just today the group wants to discuss so we can write it. I have already written more than 1/2 of it and I just passed it on to them to finish, because I was done!!! I tried to get some discussion going all week and all weekend so we could get this done and posted yesterday, but no one was around. I HATE GROUP WORK!!!

Other than that I caught a cold from my trip to Disney so am battling that and didnt get up to work out this morning got only 3 hours of sleep lastnight. Will get up tomorrow no matter what!!!!!

Ok gotta run and check on the group to see if they need help

Where is everyone? Has anyone heard from Karen, I hope things are going well in FL.

No word from Karen yet! Hope she's doing ok.

My leg is feeling a lot better, so I went back to personal training this morning, and it was hard work after having a week off exercising! Then I went to my housecleaning job where I cleaned and gardened for 2 hours, so I've had a good workout today.

My eating has been going well this week, too.

Merissa, hope you've had a lovely weekend!!!

Well I'm baaa-aaack. I had a wonderful time, thanks! It is hard to get back to the real world today. I think I could have used one more day! My mil was here with the kids for 4 days, my fil came for the weekend, plus my parents live just a couple of miles from here, so they had a lot of babysitters.

Well I should start choosing better meals and get back to exercising. Just in time to buy a bunch of Halloween candy thumbsdown.gif .

Hello all... Well my deep dish pizza cake turned out pretty cute. I haven't uploaded a cake pic on here in ages I seem to always have issues w/ it so I gave up so I never upload them anymore LOL (they are always too big even after I reduce the size). My cousin LOVED it and well that's all that matters.
We had trunk or treat at my church this past weekend also and my kids look so darn CUTE in their costumes! I think I have changed my mind and decided to pull out Wonderwoman costume on Friday since my kids are Spiderman and pink batgirl so we can have the whole superhero theme going on (figured it would make out for a cute picture if nothing else I know my daughter would love it). I would LOVE to show y'all pics of my kids but I am SO freakish about posting pics of my kids online sorry. I have a myspase page but that is even set to private so only ppl that know me can really see it but oooh they are too cute but really I'm partial I know! But if any of you have myspace PM and I'll give you my url or email and y'all can do a search for me that way and add me. I would LOVE to chat w/ y'all that way (and I do have cake pics on there too LOL) but warning my family doesn't realize how much REAL cake talent is out there so they think I rock LOL what they dont' know can't hurt them icon_evil.giftapedshut.gif
As for my exercising ya well that's still non existant I have had NO motivation for EVERYTHING lately even my house cleaning my to do list is GROWING by the minute I swear and I just don't feel like doing anything!

OK I did think of a challenge for us though the other day. I thought of it while sifted for EVER while making mmf. since we ALL make cakes hehehe) I thought we could flex our ab muscles while sifted that could help. I giggled b/c I was like ya know how like when you first had children you were all gung ho about doing your kegels for like a week or so then you went HAHAHA YA RIGHT! LMAO(we'll those of us that have children anyway). I'm sure it will be the same way BUT I thought we all do this ALL the time anyway we all must have forearms of steal anyway from using the darn sifter all the freaking time why can't we help out our abs tooo LOL....

OK I have GOT to get more than just ONE thing done on my to do list today seriously! UGH! I hope ya'll have a good afternoon.

Michelle, I'm with you, I HATE group work! I'd much rather do individual and have it based on my ability or lack thereof. Yuck! Good luck!

Connie, your enthusiasm is infectious. Sounds like you come from a family of superheros! Have fun on Halloween, I'm really looking forward to spending next Halloween with my young nieces and nephews in the States...it's not so celebrated here, except by the Americans but we're just a small part of the larger community and don't count for much! I'll be safely tucked in at home...

Sonia, I'm glad your leg is better, sounds like you're back to work with a bang! Take it easy...

Not much going on for me, I have 7 more weeks til I leave. I'm starting to worry a little bit about finances (why didn't I save more??), but it is what it is, I'm fine with it, and I'm happy with my plan. It's just that moving is so stressful, I'll be glad when everything has arrived safe and sound in Houston.
Merissa, I'm glad you had fun. Besides hang out with your DH, what did you do there?

Good morning all. I had a great nights sleep, got up and worked out and I feel great!!!

I am dressing up for halloween, I bought a poodle skirt and a shirt, sneekers and a scarf for my hair. I have to find some red lipstick I think. Anyway, not much but thought it would be fun since we are getting together with the family anyway.

I think I am more relaxed because I am done with that group now. We handed in our paper (barely on time) and I am now done with them!!! YEA I have kept their names so I can make sure I dont get on any of their teams ever again!!!

Have a great day!

Hi Girls,
Been MIA with the new job been so busy. I have been at home for 1 1/2 years after working 12 at my last job before the company left the state. Not hard to get used to staying home. Little harder to get it all accomplished while working. Spoiled my guys DH & DS while I was off, now they are having to pitch in more, lol.
Sounds like everyone is ready for Halloween, great costueme ideas. I get to have my 3 DG's for the evening so that will be fun.
Anyone heard from Karen? Probably not hooked up yet in her new place.
Eating has been good, but not able to get my 5 small meals a day. Eating lunch when I get home from work about 1, then don't want dinner til late at night. I'll have to adjust. Not working out and have measured in 2 weeks. I need to catch up.
gotta get to DS hockey game.

Michelle ~ Your costume sounds cute, very fun. I have a great pair of eyeglasses I bought off the internet last year and had my prescription put in. They were from old but never used optometry stock, they're gold cat eye glasses from the 40's. I love them! I'm glad your team project is over...

Laina ~ Do you like your new job? Do you think it was worth leaving home for? Are you learning new decorating skills?

OK, Ladies, what's it going to take to get us
motivated? We all (including me) used to post so frequently...yikes! I want our group to be successful! Where's Karen? Where's Casey? Where is everyone?!

ooops. Just remembered I am supposed to be cheerleader! Sorry about that! Maybe it is the kick in the butt I need to get on here more.

I have been really busy trying to catch up after my long weekend. Plus all of the Halloween treats and stuff I had to make for school! I made myself a halloween shirt too. I saw it in family fun magazine where you tie die your shirt orange. It leaves white circles that you fill in with jack o lantern faces inside all of the circles. I underestimated how long it would take to draw in all of the the faces with a marker! But it is cute.

Well I guess a fitting challenge for today and the weekend....don't eat too much Halloween candy! Trick or Treating is for kids LOL!

Well, that's an easy challenge for me Merissa, as we don't celebrate Halloween! It's not a big thing here, either, although I've seen a bit of advertising around the place...

I've had a pretty good week, and was down by 1.9 lbs. That was only losing some of what I've gained in the last month though, so nothing to be proud of! We're having a family trip to Melbourne next weekend, so I'm hoping to lose a couple more by then!

I made an eyeball cake for our party tonight, looks way cool.

I will stay away from the candy because they are having a chili cook off tonight.

Ok Gotta run do a bit of work today.

Happy Halloween! I'm so excited for tonight should be SO much fun!
Oh that will be a VERY hard challenge I will tell you that RIGHT now! UGh although my allergies are kicking my BUTT so maybe that will help me! I only did crunches ONCE this week UGH I suck!
I can't wait to surprise my kids w/ my wonderwoman costume tonight. Then tomorrow I'll put on my lil donut shop baker girl outfit that my dh will love (wink wink) - he at least better HAHAHA

OK girls I need prayers/thoughts or whatever you do. As ya'll know my dh is working to get his license to become an architect. Well RIGHT NOW as I type he is taking on of the NINE tests he needs to become an architect! so PLEASE pray he passes this test (it only costs $153 buckaroos). We need this pass SO badly he hasn't passed them all but has passed some b/c with 2 jobs plus a wife and kids he has lots of distractions so he isn't always able to study properly so he REALLY needs a pass for his ego. SO PLEASE PASS (sorry if I'm repeating myself here I keep chanting to myself) LOL

ANYWAY, havea GREAT halloween for those whom celebrate and a great weekend regardless

I handed out candy last night while DH took the kids around. I have to say it is kind of boring to sit here alone LOL! But then a neighbor had a bonfire afterwards and told scary stories. That was fun!

I did eat a little candy, but this morning it doenst really sound good at all. I need to get back on track this week.

Here's to good luck on that test for DH, Connie. Susan, I do like my job so far. Just don't get to decorate as often as I'd like. We do have a couple weddings booked though,, so I'll have more to do eventually. We are just officially opening this week, so I expect we'll be very busy now.
Had fun with the kiddies last night. DGD's trick or treated with my son, so DH and I could pass out candy and had fun with all our neighbors in the process. Such a great night for it weather wise, so everybody was out.
Had tooooo much candy, though. I have to be good now. Ok, Merissa, kick our butts.

I cannot for the life of me figure out why it takes so long to get test results back...in this day and age, the results should be immediate via computer grading. Ack!!

I'm starting to fell overwhelmed and sad with leaving. My stuff gets picked up the last week of November, then I'll go stay with a friend until I fly out on December 16. Hopefully my stuff will arrive the first week in January and I can be settled in by the 15th. Mostly I have to choose enough of the right things and put them aside to last for the month I'll be living out of a suitcase. I'm feeling time and money tighten...

OK well my weekend was SO busy but SO much fun!
Friday the kids were so surprised and very happy to see me dressed up as Wonderwoman and have our superhero trio!
Then Saturday at my brother's party here is a picture of my husband and I dressed up. My dh is a Krystal's employee of the month (he LOVES Krystals (BARF) and I was a sexy donut shop girl

My aunt kept taking pics of my rearend so I'm anxiously awaiting for those pics to show up on myspace oh joys LOL gotta love my family LMAO..... THANKFULLY I was smart and wore ruffled bloomers under my costume so it wasn't so bad!

OOH OOOH OOOH exciting new I can't believe I forgot to mention before... Went to Macy's on Sunday w/ dh and bought me a pair of jeans and I WENT DOWN ONE SIZE! I wanted to do cartwheels in the store seriously! I was so excited! NOW I just need to maintain that thru the holidays and stuff!!!!!

It's official....I am the WORST cheerleader in the history of PDTCC! I think I am just in my quarterly slump with the diet and exercise. Plus lately I just havent been so addicted to the computer. I am just not on here as much (maybe that is a good thing).

Well it is election day here in the US! So the challenge for the Americans is to get out and VOTE! Hey, you probably wont be eating while youre waiting in line. Actually I already voted and didn't have to wait at all.

okay and let's think of another challenge for everyone. With the holidays upon us maybe we can brainstorm some ideas for not gaining 5 pounds. What can we do differently this year?? I am putting on my thinking cap....

I say don't deprive yourself b/c you will just end up over endulging later which would be worse set up realistic goals... Don't eat every dessert just don't completely skip the table either maybe like limit yourself to say a few bites of your favorite or something like that????

Merissa, I'm right up there with you...not so interested in the computer, not so interested in diet/exercise. I just got a friend to commit to exercising with me, so hopefully that will jump start me again.

I was so excited on election day that I stayed up all night! The results weren't called til about 5:30AM my time, it was fun to stay up and watch everything.

I think the best advice I've heard and read about holiday eating is to eat before you eat. You know, eat healthy things to fill up on before you go to a party, then you won't be so tempted by the high calorie stuff. Or eat before any big holiday meal you serve at your own home.

Have a fun weekend in Melbourne!

Well I am thinking that is an excellent point, Susan. It got me thinking about all the appetizers before meals too. Usually by the time dinner is ready, I am not really that hungry, but of course I fill up my plate.
Often we have to travel several hours to get to a holiday and usually we are skipping lunch...so we are eating up all the appetizers. Maybe I should pack some munchies for the road (veggies etc) so when I get there I am not starving.

Alright ladies y'all are KILLING ME HERE! This thread has been DEAD lately, my mom's board has been REALLY slow lately and even my myspace has been pretty slow I'm about to pull my eyes out I need to talk to the outside world!!!! My daughter was sick since Tuesday so I haven't left my house since Monday to take her too and from school so I'm going STIR crazy (thankfully she's better now and will be going to school tomorrow)! Although the house is pretty picked up and laundry is caught up and I'm making pillows for my mom (they dress up as Mr and Mrs. Claus and go to the 2 area hospitals on Christmas day and give toys to all the kids that are in the hossy and pillows were a HUGE hit last year so I'm helping her out by starting the process so all that will need to be done is stuffing them then stitching them closed) anyway I'm rambling.... All of my computer outlet to the outside world have been DEAD this week and I'm going NUTS!

Just wanted to stop in for a sec to let you know I'm still around...we've been working nonstop to get the new house ready. Working so hard on the new house that I haven't packed one thing yet and we're moving in 2 weeks!!!
The diet has kind of gone by the wayside for the time being, it's hard to be healthy when you've been painting all day and you can just order pizza. I am holding steady at 176, though.
I'll be back in more regularly in a couple weeks, in the meantime...
