If I put mousse in a cake how long can it be at room temp? I saw a different recipe that took cream that said it could set out for three days. Just wondering if I put mousse in a cake if it would be ok setting out.

If a recipe contains uncooked dairy, it should be refrigerated. It probably could sit out for a few hours, but I wouldn't leave it for days.

it shouldn't be out for more then 2 hours. I would leave it out for up to 4 if it started out in a cold cake.
