instead of cutting the straw shorter, couldnt it be cut at an angle instead? I dont have one but if i'm envisioning it correctly, cutting and angle might work? still reaches the bottom but wont get clogged??

i agree with shirley in that i had awful trouble getting an even spray it just spluttered and once it was on the cake it ran down the sides and looked terrible. in the end i painted with a brush...

mines sitting in the cupboard unused...

i hope you all have better luck than me and if so please post about it....

I purchased mine in the morning , just a quick question I read that the base is reusable the sprayer you trow away when empty or can you refill it?

Hope it works for me, It was nice to find the link to ebay in this forum, I do think the guy is really bussy with all the sales he made today, and will go on doing,.

Good Luck with your sprayer,

Imagine a straw even if it was touching the bottom and cut and an angle there is not enough suction to get it up the straw. It really needs to touch all the way down. The jar is big compared to the amount of luster you would use.So it literally is all on the bottom of the jar.
There is a piece that is on the bottom of the jar shaped like a teeny tiny flange. I understand what you are saying like if it were a glass of water lets say. You would have to use a lot of liquid to compensate for the straw distance. I have used this many times.

moydear77, what consistency do you use with this tool? when i paint i usually make it slightly thick, but with this to avoid clogging, do you make it thinner?

i wonder if this poor guy will be able to get everyones packages out within 24 hours like he usually does icon_rolleyes.gif

Here is my tip. when I mix luster it will settle a bit. I swirl the bottle a lot to get the mix even. Mine is not molten thick but thin--not shear--does that make sense???
