Wedding Sheet Cake ?? Can I Still Sell If...

My Sheet Cake stuck to the pan. I can repair it easily enough with icing but can I still sell it as one of the sheet cakes for my wedding cake order or should I just make cake balls and start over???
The original order was one small three tiered wedding cake with two sheet cakes to make up the rest. However the bride would like them out with the tiered cake with their names, one on each and either side of the main cake,.. kind of like satellite cakes I guess. Again, I'm pretty sure it's repairable and it' will be covered in icing but they'll probably notice when they cut that it was repaired. Is this OK, or should I just start over???
Oh, by the way for those of you how read my thread on the miffed by the cheapo bride this is the one that's getting it for the $1 pp. and she didn't even want to pay that,.. her MIL to be hired me. She said to me that 'I thought since you were just starting out I'd pay you for materials and 'just a bit' more for your time. I think she wanted it ultimately for $100 total for 200 people.
OK, I'm venting again... sorry
Back to my question... should I start over of just repair it and be done with it!?
Thanks!!

I guess it depends on how bad the damage is. If it's completely repairable, then they probably won't even notice. Are you cutting it? You could always cut around that section. I've repaired cakes and not even been able to tell myself where the damage was! Also, I cut a sheet cake to make my cross cakes, and it's no big deal that they have 3 seams in them -- they have to! But, if you're in any doubt or nervous then redo it.
Sorry to hear about the cheapies...just hang in there!

If it can be repaired and still look like it's suppose to...go with it! I've repaired cakes that have come out of the pan in 4 peices before! As long as it is not compromising structure, taste, decor or health codes you are good to go!! ![]()

If is is not too bad, fix it, and forget it. Since this bride is paying the rock bottom pricing, I would not go to the trouble of baking another cake. Once they start cutting the cake, I don't think they'll know, someone might get a piece that has a little extra icing.
Oops! Sorry folks, didn't realize this thread posted twice till I checked today. I clicked submit and it went to a blank screen after -- forever -- so I hit back and clicked submit again and that time it worked. Thanks for the replies. I'm going to just fix it since it's just a sheet cake. Originally it was just to have in the back then they wanted them out with the tiered cake and then the wanted the names on them and now she wants me to put deco on the one and leave the other with just the name(s). Oh my gosh,... I just handed my cake people a photo and told them the colors. I was done! The only quirk was we asked if they could do a groom's cake that looked something like notebook computers with a 'cord' (icing) attaching them and they came up with it exactly. (We meet on the internet... )
Thanks all!! This is my first wedding cake and my list of problems has just begun with the cake sticking to the pan. The first two batches of snowflakes half broke... but I know I used to thin of a tip to pipe them with. When I practiced I used a 5 and last night I tried a 3 to be a little thinner... well they were thinner... pretty, but most broke! oh well.. The kids are loving the scraps!
Thanks again.... sorry I tend to ramble sometimes! ![]()
