I haven't been able to bake and decorate a cake in a week! My daughter and I have been sick since last Friday and we are still not over it! I've got to go across town to get my dummy cakes and start practicing on those as well! Uuughh, I hate being sick! Oh well, its given me time to find new ideas on here before i jump back in. I sooooo want to get in the kitchen but all I can do right now is sneeze on it!! icon_razz.gif

Aw, sorry to hear that. icon_cool.gif I rarely get sick but was sick a couple of weeks ago with a cold (NYQUIL DOES NOT TASTE GOOD, FYI). I don't decorate often as I have many other preoccupations.

I know how you feel last Thursday I baked a batch of cupcakes and had to throw them all out cause a couple of hours after taking them out of the oven I got the worse stomach virus ever! I ended up in bed for a total of 36 hours! Yuck! Hope you feel better soon.

Katy625, I hope you feel better soon - your daughter, too. It's so annoying to get sick; at least that's how I feel about it. To me it's even worse when it's just a cold and you can't even just go to bed and stay there for the day!

I'm finally getting over a cold (which I am so thankful didn't turn into bronchitis - again). I'm glad it wasn't bad, but it made baking take twice as long - ya know: mix some ingredients, sniffle, stop to blow nose, then wash hands really well, dry hands, continue to mix, add another ingredient, stir, sneeze, dab nose with paper towel, throw away paper towel, wash hands really well, dry hands, pour batter into prepared pan, place in oven, set timer, sneeze, etc.........

Hope you feel better soon--take care of yourself and try to take advantage of the down time to "research" cake ideas here! The stomach stuff is spreading like crazy here so I am staying home unless we absolutely need something--most have it 3 to 4 days some longer. Yuck! I get to do a "Christmas" themed cake for this weekend since extended family had the bug over Christmas.
