I just looked at the grand prize winning entry on the Wilton site and just loved her butterflies and pansies. What I can't understand is the winner did such as wonderful job won't the master class be a little bit of a waste of time because it seems she is already far advanced for that class.

Does anyone know this woman? I would love to be able to get instructions on how to do the butterflies and cookies that she entered. If any knows please let me know.

I want to learn how to decorate like the many people on this site. I have taken the three classes but would love to learn much, much more. I wish there was better teaching instructor in this city.

I just love this site. It truly gives me hope that one day I will be as good. Vicki0052.

Vicki,

Where do you live? Do you have an ICES chapter where you are? If so, contact them. Most ICES chapters offer hands-on classes and demos at their Days of Sharing.

I was thinking the same thing. All of the winners are amazing!! Not sure there's much you could teach them. I too loved the flower and butterfly cookies.

As far as enhancing your skills, sometimes it just takes practice. I'm self-taught. Until recently I had never taken a class, and until last year, I had never even seen anyone decorate a cake or cookie.
