I was told by the person that wrote my article in the paper that I could have it on my website as long as it says Courtesy of the Owatonna Peoples Press and it has the byline. So, what in the world is a byline?

Is the article published? I would love to read it.

A byline is where you write the name of the reporter. See Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byline

The article is in print. I just have to figure out how to add it to my website. My brother is the wiz with my website and he has been pre-occupied lately with some other stuff.

I may get it on my website by the end of next year?

Thanks for the information frulund2600.

OOPs it was longer than 22 years. cause my niece was born the year I graduated and she turned 25 in November. So I would say 26 years since journalism icon_redface.gificon_redface.gif

HTH icon_biggrin.gif
I use Google and Wikipedia a lot, since English is not my first language. I learn a lot by coming here on CC, regarding both cake decoration and language skills. My aunt and uncle, who lives in Florida, visit me once a year and they could tell that my language had improved a lot.

26 years is a long time to remember something if you haven't used it. I would have to say I wouldn't remember what a byline was if I learned it from that long ago.

I always come straight to CC before even thinking of searching for things on google. So, in other words I guess CC is my google icon_confused.gif

Thanks!
