There are quite a few things but I'll only list a few.

1. I studied Accounting in College
2. I then studied Beauty Therapy and am a qualified Aesthetician
3. I have always loved cooking / baking and have only just gotten into decorating

I think I'll leave it at that for now otherwise I could go on forever (woman of mystery I am not!!)

Hmmm... I've mentioned it a couple places, but it's unique

I married a Croatian and we are raising our kids bilingual. I understand it completely, but find it difficult to put it together to speak it, but I can when we travel there. I have a degree in Spanish and now I find it hard because Croatian words come to me first.

I speak only English, DH only speaks Croatian and it works pretty good! DS #1 is ten and fluent in both and DS#2 is 20 months and his words so far are about half-half. It's pretty fun watching them figure it out!

Ha! So did I! Then I discovered skipping... But was able to manage the 4.0 again Senior year.

Other tidbits:

--Went to college to become a health teacher, then dropped out when I realized I really did not want to do it. Went to a 2-year, then transferred to a 4-year.
--I went back to school when I was 27 and got my second A.S. degree, this time in Paralegal. Have done nothing with it! icon_lol.gif
--Was pretty much a fish growing up. Was on the swim team in Jr. and Sr. high school as well as on the YMCA team and my 2nd year at community college. Also lifeguarded forever. When I graduated highschool, I became the asst. coach at the Y.

I traveled to another country 2x to represent the United States for Cheerleading (of all things) There was a huge group of us cheerleaders and we preformed throughout a parade.

I started teaching acrobats and dance in a studio at the age of 11 and quit when I was 15 to focus on sports in high school.

my DH and I were secretly engaged when I was 16. (my mom would die if she read this one!) I married him 2 weeks after my 19th birthday.

I've maintained a 4.0 for the last year of college to watch me get a 3.6 this semester and I'm somewhat upset about it even though I know it's still a good grade. icon_redface.gif

I use to be an assistant track couch for my old high school team.

I can't swim to save my life, so won't go in past my waist.

Everything I do now I started at 2 years old, strayed from, and came back to in my 20's. Gramma verified when I thought my dd was too young for most stuff. Gramma started me on everything young! (She mainly raised me from 1-5)

I did 2 semester in College, but I have only one course credited icon_redface.gif and I passed only with 5 points, and because I had to wrote an essay on Madonna, and I've been a big fan since I was 10 y-o, so it was easy... After that I decided that College wasn't for me. I wasn't ready, and when I finally got ready, I got pregnant with my first boy, so I became a sahm. Then I discovered that making birthday cakes for my kids was fun, so here I am now!!!

I was born and raised in Singapore. Got married in Dec 1987 and in March 1988 hubby and I migrated to Melbourne, Australia. I had no family in Melbourne but hubby has elder brother and wife living in Melbourne. It was very lonely the first year and the first Christmas was the worst. Missed my family very much. We have 3 kids aged 8, 10 and 13 and could not imagine living anywhere else. AUSTRALIA IS HOME!!!

~I live in a house of 10.
Guess that's all for now.

This is fun!

-I was in marching band in high school (flagline) and still miss it!! icon_redface.gif
-I quit college one semester short of a liberal arts degree
-DH and I have separated and reconciled twice, I guess we're meant to be together! The last time I actually had the divorce papers in hand when we started talking again. We just celebrated our 11th anniversary.

I did it all through high school too. I STILL will have dreams of some competition (we were quite good)... and I STILL remember some of the routines. I am 37 years old, so it's been more than 1/2 my life ago that I did this, but it's still so vivid in my head! In college I joined the marching band, but as a horn player just to try something different. That was a lot of fun too!

I've always loved baking but just this year got into decorating.

I was an English major in college, went into publishing. Had dreams of being a big-wig editor who would read novels from the slush pile day in and day out, wielding my big red pen but instead ended up working with textbooks and business directories. Discovered that there weren't any large publishing companies close to me so I switched tracks. Went back to school at night to get my teaching credential. Taught both kindergarten and first grade for 5 or so years, really loved it. Then came the babies. I have two toddler boys, have since stopped teaching and am a SAHM. Not sure if I'll go back to teaching after the boys are in school...as much as I loved it I'm not so sure it was an ultimate "passion" for me. But I have to say that we did some pretty amazing things in the classroom. I had my kindergarteners analyzing Emily Dickinson and Langston Hughes and they were pretty good at it!

I would love to one day be a novelist but that would require a lot more time than even cake decorating does so I am not sure I can see how / when I could make that happen. I've been saying "someday" for a long time now . . . I need to do some soul searching and figure out a way to make it happen!

Sorry to go on and on . . . this is a fun post!

My turn...

I have my degree in Communication and Spanish and have worked at an agricultural magazine and a road contruction magazine, where I once wrote an article about how this award-winning pavement.

I'm a huge Beatles fan, but could never pass up a good ol' Spanish rock concert.

I have more to add to my posting . . . don't know why it didn't cross my mind to mention this before! We are opening a commercial equestrian facility. My husband and his brother are co-owners and my husband and I (along with the kids, of course) are selling our house (our "dream house" that I thought we'd live in for years and years to come!) and building living quarters on-site. It's a 64-stall facility and we'll offer boarding and training. It's a pretty big endeavor and it's definitely stressful around here right now! We're supposed to have our first stall wing completed by the end of the month but we've got our first 6 horses coming on the 15th. We'll have their stalls completed and the riding arena done so they'll have everything they need. My hubby is not quitting his "day job" for this, this will be an extra "side" business. And he already puts in the crazy hours and travels a ton with his regular job. This has been a dream of his for a while and the timing is just right for it. I'm not a horse person (yet - that's bound to change!) but moving on-site was a no-brainer as it will help CONSIDERABLY with family time and it's an awesome environment for the boys to grow up in.

So there's my story!
