Not sure I want to do it again (at least not soon), but I made a topsy turvy cake and it was a little tricky. Getting the tiers on the cake and centered? Man!! Anyone got any good tips on how to do it?

The cake was for a surprise b-day party at a restaurant, so I had no way to assemble it on site beforehand....I had to drive that sucker almost 20 miles fully assembled! Can you say "panic attack"? At least the valet let me park right by the door and held it open for me.

Now it's done, and I'm home but still have to clean up the aftermath in the kitchen. Very messy! Just felt like sharing as this has been in my head for a month now and is finally completed.

Happy caking,

Sorry, no tips for you as I just don't have the guts yet to try one of those- but yours came out great! Really cool and I never would think that it was your first!

Congradulations - I am waiting for the right occasion to make one. Though just thinking about that dirty kitchen - mine is barely clean from the christmas cookies!

You did an excellent job, great color and design. I find Whimsy cakes to be one of the most challenging to do. The crumb factor alone is pretty overwhelming. They look centered, I don't think you need any advise.

You did a great job, love your color choices. I have completed only one myself. It will be a long while before I do another and they will have to pay dearly LOL. My kichen looked like a war zone when it was over.
