You may want to look into edge lit plea, its a bit more expensive but comes in several colors and glows with light. Would be a nice way to have a blank board. Also after you cut and sand the edges you can wave a torch over it and it will return to the original smooth finish it had before you cut it. I used this a lot when I made 3D props
