Our 13 year old daughter got on cc and got on my account as I leave myself signed in. She saw a long list of things in my cart I was keeping to remember some items I wanted to buy from here on sale. Being as it is so close to Christmas she thought she'd just hop on and buy these things using our paypal account. So this morning my husband gets the paypal slip and thinks someone stole into our account. So he contacts paypal and cc by phone and email to report this.
We changed accounts and passwords immeadiately. Then when she came home and heard us talking about it up she pops saying "No I bought that stuff for Mom because she wanted those things."
So now we had to contact cc and paypal and explain all this. I feel so stupid and yet I am touched she wanted to do this for me. So sorry all you guys at cc for the mixup! I did write them to let them know, but I really feel goofy now! ![]()
It happens. Kids can have such good motives, but they don't always realize QUITE what might happen when they act on them.
(If you want to reach Jackie or Heath faster, you could click on their name to PM them. They both keep a close eye on their PM boxes.)
Give your daughter a hug, but then explain she shouldn't hit the enter button on the checkout. ![]()
Aside from your embarassment, which I can totally understand, this is actually a cute story and could be a great 'gentle' learning experience for your daughter. The chance to explain to her the difference between a wish list and an actual purchase! Isn't it nice that she wanted to help Mom out though? I think you'd better go give her a hug from all of us! Bless her little heart!
I would, but we are a little strapped for cash since I have spent over 500.00 for baking items in the last 2 months already.
And you'd think that'd be enough! ![]()
