Oh man...my buttercream frosting ( half Crisco half butter ) does not match my Wilton cake plates and pillars. They are Bright white my frosting is almost yellow comparatively speaking. I DO NOT want to compromise on my flavor..meaning I won't use all Crisco. So is there any thing to remedy this problem or am I just out of luck! Thanks ~ Rhondie
You can add white food coloring to your frosting.
Alternatively, you can add a very, very small touch of violet. The violet counteracts the yellow and gives you white. But you have to be very, very sparing with the violet or you'll end up with something not very pretty at all. ![]()
I've also bought the americolor bright white and added it to the frosting, it really helps.
