I'm no expert, but to cut down on the sweetness for certain clients of mine, I use SALTED butter instead of unsalted. They really seem to like it that way. I like it too, but there aren't many buttercreams I don't like. ![]()
My recipe:
1 stick butter (salted or unsalted depending on the customer)
1 cup crisco
2 lb. bag powdered sugar
2 tsp clear vanilla
whole milk to desired consistancy
