I got my Sam's Club fall entertaining guide yesterday and the kitchenaid is at sam's for $259.84. It's the 5 qt pro HD stand mixer 10 speed 475 watt # 397848, also online. Just thought I would share this info with anyone who would be interested.

I just read in another tread that JC Penny has a 700 watt stand mixer for $149. I checked it out on the web and you can get it in most stores.

CostCo carries the same KitchenAid - but I think it's $279.

I'll have to check out the JcP mixer - I'd like one with a bigger bowl.

Cuisinart has one now, but it's $439 at Amazon.com (Cuisinart SM-70BC 7-Quart 12-Speed Stand Mixer)

Does anyone know if you can buy attachments for KAs seperately? DH got my KA last year for Christmas, but it didn't have the paddle mixer with it (I think it came from Sam's). It just came with regular beaters and dough hooks. I wish I had a paddle mixer because I think the regular beaters cause air bubbles in my buttercream somtimes.
