Do I need to keep a cake in the fridge with buttercream icing?
I figure no.....but thought I would ask.

The ingredients are:
1/2 cup white vegetable shortening
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbs. 1% or 2% milk

You are correct, the answer is no. It can sit out for a couple of days.
