I made a shoe from Wilton while candy melts.
The shoe will be infront of a cake well the candy melts are not really white.
I need to tint the buttercream to match. Any one know what color?
Ivory or just a little brown or ????
OH by the way I'm decorating the cake in the AM FROSTING TONIGHT!!!
Have you already made the icing? How about adding some of the candy melts to the icing?
You can use either ivory or a tiny, tiny dot of brown. Most browns colors have a green base to them........I'm thinking your better off w/ivory.
I found most ivory paste/gels to be potent, so use just a tiny bit of it. You can always add more, but it's hard to take away what you over-add![]()
I agree with adding ivory color. Wilton brown, even in the tiniest amounts, will have a pinky-beige effect (antique white) which is not the same as ivory. You need something yellow-er.
OK the IVORY worked great. Not exact but VERY close. So it looks great. Thank you.
Now to try to get the cake to look good. HOPE HOPE HOPE. this is for a friend and is a gift. She does so much during the holidays for people. and she is a hairdresser. so it fits her well.
