For those who have done or attempted to make a purse cake....
IN cutting and stacking the sheet cake which direction do you think LOOKS better for the final product.
Cutting the cake into long strinp or accross the cake the shorter distance..


so say 11x15 cut acorss the -11" or down the length- 15"

I have only made a purse cake with a round pan, cut in half, sandwiched together with the filling going up and down. So...I would cut the cake across the 11-inch direction. I think the other way would be too long whether you are stacking or standing them on edge. Good Luck!

thats what I thought but I wasent sure. Also anyone know if it needs dowels just to steady it a bit?
