Here are a couple of links for you to check out...
P.S. The head and shoulders are made of clay and run about $2,500 and that DOESN'T include the cake!!! icon_confused.gif

I just wanted to add something that makes me wonder.... background:
I am also a visual artist, a sculptor by trade - who wanted to try cake as a medium- so here I am. So glad I saw that cake!

icon_confused.gif That said, I'm always surprised by people's reactions to the cost of sculpture, especially figures.... (something that you can essentially have for years), yet they will spend thousands on a dress they wear once, or even hundreds on a cake that will be cut to bits within minutes.
I'm not at all saying cake isn't worth the price - wedding cakes especially take LOADS of labor, time, materials, overhead, etc... only wanted to state that sculptures take enormous planning, casting, finishing, etc- however no one ever wants to pay for art.

icon_redface.gif Sorry for that- I think that is an amazing cake, BUT I'm really impressed with the HUGE stack of round cakes... talk about daunting work. icon_smile.gif

Hey CCusers,

They lady who made the cake maybe in the pictures, but I found this website of this woman named Elizabeth Bonura. I think that she is the artist who made the actual polymer topper. I think that you guys should check out her website.

She is the one who actually made the cake and the polymer artist did the topper.

Hope this provides some clarification for everyone.
