lilthorner...your cake looks AWESOME! I too ordered the DVD and got it last week! Popped it in the DVD player literally right after I opened it and froze in front of the tv! It's pretty amazing to see her in action! Thank you SO much, Sharon, for all your wonderful tips and secrets to great buttercream! I haven't made the recipe yet, but plan to as soon as cake orders die-down a bit, so I can practice, practice, practice! I'm making a wish list of topics I would love to see you make into additional DVD's! he he!

Lilthorner, your cake is gorgeous! 
Your roses are so pretty and such a beautiful shade of red. I laughed my butt off to see the title of nekkid cake! That's what I always mine are till they get "all dressed up'! 
My video was mailed yesterday so I am in waiting mode...poor mail man dont stand a chance!

I just watched Sharon's DVD also, now I know how they get those smooth tops. Makes sence now. Gonna give it a try, my only thing is going to be trying to work this computer to make the side thingy measurement. I'm terrible with measuring and computers so wish me luck. Sharon, I had to laugh at you being challenged over the large spatula, I use my small one for everything too. Great information, thanks!!!!!!

Im pretyy handy with a computer but one tip I got from anther decorator a while ago and didnt understand until I saw this video, was that she used a hem measurer or whatever that tool is called so that you get even hemlines in clothes.. Its the same principle as the template in that you set the hemmer thingy to the height and then u the point to make the lil line around just like u did with the template...
ok its called a sewing gauge and here is a photo of one:

That would work great, just like the paper template in Sharon's video and I have several of those around my house. I never would have thought of it. Oh I have so many new things to try out!!!

I'm brand new to this, and I can't say enough good things about the DVD. Every sentence that comes out of Sharon's mouth is something useful and educational for me. The step by step demos are perfectly done. What a professional, good job you did, Sharon!

I am totally amazed at the smoothness and clean edges of Sharon's cakes. I just ordered the DVD and can't wait to get it into my DVD player. I've also added her filigree cutter set to my Christmas list. Maybe, Santa will see I've been a really good girl!

got my dvd today. I just watched it and it's awesome. It's almost 11:00 pm and I am thinking about baking a cake right now to practice. I'll post pictures when I'm done.

I only got to watch about 10 minutes of it as I have 2 sicks littles ones and a whiny DH. But today is sunday and Momma is claiming that living room dvd player today!!!!!!!

I got it!!!! I got it!!!
Finally I got to see this wonderful DVD, it's an awakening to me!!!
The post office tried to deliver it on Saturday but there was nobody at my b/f office so they took it back! It was upsetting, but today I finally got it!
I love it, I love it!!!!
I've been so frustrated with b/c that sometimes I wanted to scream.
