I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to make buttercream roses where the roses are laying down....one side flat? I saw them on a cake one time but didnt have the time to figure it out and haven't seen it since.
http://www.wilton.com/decorating/basic/rosebud.cfm this is how to do a rosebud...not sure if this is exactly what you were looking for or not
Thank you but that's not it. This cake had a bunch of roses on it but they were laying down and tilted up just a little. The bottom side of the rose was flat. I have thought and thought and don't have a clue how to do it but it was a very nice looking cake. Guess it will just remain a mystery...lol.
Do you have a link to a picture we could look at and maybe we could find out how it's done for you... or if we don't know, maybe someone else here could help
No I can't find a picture of one yet but I am going to keep looking. It was at a store we have here and I asked the woman at the bakery counter but she said they came in like that and she didn't know how to do it. I haven't seen one like it since. I'm not even sure if I am explaining it right. If you have a single stemmed bloomed rose and you lay it on the table the petals are laying flat but the upper part is tilted back and all the blooms are bloomed out like normal....that is what they had done. It seems like it would be easy to do but I just can't figure out the process of what goes where and what should be done first. I am determined to get it though...maybe when I have a kid and husband free day I can figure it out.
