I just thought I would post a picture of my state fair entry. JB0828 and I met at the Fair and she was kind enough to get a picture of my cake with the ribbon. Thank you again so much Jen for the picture. I have a better picture of the cake in my photos but this one with the ribbon is priceless to me.

Excellent cake! My Wilton teacher was one of the judges and she was describing this cake in class last week. Congratulations!

Sorry to answer for cakescraps but I'm sure her teacher is Paulette K. She teaches at a Michael's in Mesa. She was my teacher too about 6 yrs ago. She is the current president of our cake club.
She and two other people from the cake club did the judging. I didn't know it was them until after the fact because one of them emailed me asking if I wanted to know how I did. And I wondered how the heck she already knew when the Fair hadn't even opened yet. Then she told me she was one of the judges. So I was glad to know it was people who actually knew about cake decorating doing the judging and not farmer John from the 4H club, ya know?
