Im getting ready to make my first batch of MMF and was wandring how long it stays good for?

I shape it into a nice round, rub the outside of the fondant with a little shortening and wrap it well with plastic, then foil then I keep it in an airtight container.

It doesn't 'spoil' but it can dry out. If you open it and find crusty surface, peel it off, It will not knead back in.

Just nuke it in microwave for a few secs when you're ready to use it again.

thanks for the info. Have you guys made the chocolate MMF? Ive heard some people say that it is harder to get to the right consistency is that true?
