Is the plywood covered? (it should be) A bit of something sticky should help. Piping gel or corn syrup.

If the board is plain wood, I recommend you start over.

You don't necessarily need to start over, whats the harm in just wood? I'm not sure what you mean by getting it to stick to the bottom... I either do just the top in fondant then the side in ribbon or top and sides both in fondant. Hint: glue a couple of cardboards of a slightly smaller size to the underside so that you can get your hands under and life it without mussing up the covering.

Thanks guys...but I got so frustrated that I ripped it off and covered the board with silver paper...
After I went to bed around 1:30 am, it came to me to cover the top and use ribbon aroung the edge..I did have the ribbon, don't know what I was thinking.

Oh well, it turned out great anyway.. I like the tip about the cake boards underneath. It is difficult to get your fingers under the board and lift it. I will definately know next time..

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hadn't thought about the cake boards underneath! I use those clear plastic "stoppers" (for furniture; flower pots; cabinet doors; etc.) for under cake boards. I buy them at Lowe's - 2 different sizes to a pack.
