Has any one had problems with there cakes molding in 2 days, what happened was i save the scraps from the tops of my cakes and cover them with saran wrap, and keep it on the bar so my DH can eat it , We didnt have our air on real low and it was kinda hot for a few days, anyway he went to pinch off a bite and the bottom layers had a little mold on them, are there anything i can use to keep this from happening to my cakes, although the origianal cakes were fine just the ones i covered an left on the bar, Thanks everyone icon_surprised.gif

warm weather and plastic covered baked goods at room temp often grows mold very quickly. Store them in the fridge to last longer.

in addition to the warm temp, if you cover them while they are still warm, that will add to the quick molding problem. kind of makes steam, and things grow in warm moist atmospheres.
