Hi guys...I just got the December issue and I was thrilled to see my Ship cake in there.....then as I'm flipping...I also see my Extreme Wedding Cake Competition entry (the topper)....

pages 57 and 68 icon_lol.gif

Maybe one day I'll be more towards the front of the book!!!

Lisajijo - ACD is American Cake Decorating, it is a magazine which has a tong of great decorating info and features cakes made by many talented decorators.

I saw those the other day! It is so exciting to see a cake that you made in publication! I was super excted when I was in Mail Box news so I cannot imagine being in ACD!
Toomuchcake has one of her divsional in that issue also!

I received my copy today and just took a double-take! Both of your entries are awesome to say the least!!!!
I just told my husband I know somebody who's cakes are in the magazine - he loves the ship (he's a overseas boat captain)!! Absolutely stunning!!!

Just curious but can anyone tell me when Mailbox News comes now? I order both magazines at the same time and only received ACD?

I submitted the ship cake...then they emailed me for the directions....
But the last time my Rocking horse cake made it in, they had e-mailed me to tell me. This was a pleasant surprise. I know ACD was at the Bakery Expo, so they must have taken those photos. I wish the Jack-in-the-box photo was a little larger....I do so love that piece!

Maybe they can't use your photos w/o permission unless it's in a public contest?

They usually have you sign a form. I know the editor and the competitions I have been at they have you sign some sort of waiver.
