I am going to have my graduation party at my fave local hang out Irish pub (oddly enough i dont drink ) i want to do a Boston theme and tie in my fave band dropkick murphys i need help i was to do either a mad hatter or directly staked cake! 10' 8' 6' any ideas???
Doug might be able to help, but I would suggest you telling us a little bit more about you fav. hang out and band, do you have links to either ??
Congrats and Good Luck.
dropkick murphys are an irish punk band from boston (also the reason i go to boston every year for saint patricks day)!! Thats kind of why i wanted to do a irish pub theme for graduation so i can pretend i am back in boston !
As for what i love about boston the skyline, the charles river, copps hill cematry and SOUTH BOSTON "southie"
Do one tier to represent Dropkick Murphys by putting the logo made on a fondant plaque or the lyrics to your favorite song going around the sides of the cake in green and white. The second can be to represent your time in school, your favorite course maybe some FBCT to represent some of the tools and a chefs jacket. The third can have the Boston skyline going around it made in chocolate or FBCT. Hopefully this helps to get your creative juices flowing.
The DKM's just played at City Hall Plaza for the Red Sox pep rally. When I think of Southie, I think of Castle Island, the waterfront and the L Street Brownies taking their New Years Day swim. Good Luck, Congrats.
