Depends. Are you working from home or paying rent on a shop?

There are no rules to how much anyone "should" be doing. It all depends on skill, method of advertising, pricing, demand, and how much you want to put into it.

are you doing this as a hobby? are you trying to turn a profit? have you calculated how many you would need to make to make a profit? do you know how much profit you make on each cake (including a "hourly" rate for your labor?

Just an example Ace of Cakes or Charm City Cakes have anywhere between 15-30 cakes in 1 given week and they are how many people??.

So I think you are doing wellwith 3 to 8 cakes.

Sometimes it takes over 1 year before being really making any money in any given business, so as long as you can currently cover your costs, you are doing well.

If your intake is already larger than you costs you are doing really well.

Your cakes are beautiful, keep it up.

Good Luck

Yes I have been doing this on the side for extra income and I do it from home although we do own a restaraunt, I have a window in the building we are in and I will be on a well known (food channel) hint ,for a competition I was in. I am hoping the show will bring in more buisness. The show will not air untill late winter earl y spring.
