I am sure this topic has been discussed.. but hopefully all you wonderful members can help me out.. Where is the cheapest place with cheap shipping to get Satin Ice or Fond X? Also a good spot to get Luster dust....

I get my Satin Ice directly from Satin Fine Foods @ Satinfinefoods.com

intotheoven.com has satin ice for $20 for 5 lbs, and about 7$ shipping...i dont remember the larger or smaller container prices.

ebay (jesterpartysupply) sells luster for 2.45/ 4.05 flat shipping

How do you do that? I was told you could only get it from a supplier and not directly from the company.

$25.00 for 10 lbs. of Fondx at cakedeco.com. They have luster dust too. Their shipping is reasonable in my opinion.

The absolute cheapest place for luster dust is wholesalesugarflowers.com

It's $2.19/jar and the shipping is extremely reasonable, not to mention how VERY quickly they ship! I ordered on a Thursday, and by Monday I had my order.

Great place to order!!

I found cakedeco.com was the cheapest for the SatinIce..... (I want to say it was $16.50 for 5 lbs.). I buy my dusts from Sugarcraft.com. (petal dusts = $1.99/4 gram size).

I usually get it from Satin ice when I go to the ICES convention SORRY tapedshut.gif but I do know you can order from them. I have a card I will look for it to get the info for you. Let me check out their site, they have to have a contact number.

I tried to order from Satin Ice and was given a list of supplies for me purchase from but that way a year or so ago maybe they changed their policy to allow you to order from them.

I call to order mine from Satin Ice. Your first order has to be forty pounds which cost $120.00 with shipping. The after that you can order what ever size you need. For a twenty pound bucket it is $58.00 for me with shipping. A real good deal and it keeps for a year.

ugh, wish i would have seen the website bakedeco earlier...i just drove 40 miles today to buy 20lbs for 85plus tax. oh well, i have it NOW...need it no later than wednesday so i am sure it wouldnt have arrived in time anyway. good to know for the future though. i have a big wedding cake in a couple of months and planned on using mmf...for just a bit more i think i'll get this again. first time i tried it and i love it. yummy, smooth, bright, and the best part, already made!
